Impalas roam the African savannas in sizeable herds or "clans", ever alert for predators. They're found often in ecotone regions or transitional zones between two habitats such as grassland and woodland.  This graceful ewe had been nibbling at a large bush when I chanced upon her clan, though she turned to sense what else may be hiding in the underbrush.
