As smoke hangs low on the horizon, a deeply filtered setting sun emerges from the haze without its usual glare. The air feels unseasonably cool and crisp in the ultra-faded light. Climate change disrupts weather patterns throughout the world rendering certain arid regions more vulnerable than usual to wildfires. The wildfire smoke that created this sunset drifted across two states to reach the Sawtooth Mountains resulting in an art piece that seems to glow from within.
